All Around the Globe: Focusing on One Country

Today... Well...I feel like talking about one specific country that I randomly chose, and that I wish to explore further. So, I'm going to spin the globe, and whichever country I land on, it will be that country that we will explore together. So here it goes!!!!!!
And the country is....MOROCCO!!!!!! So here we go!

Morocco is a country located in the Maghreb region of North-Africa, therefore it is in the northern hemisphere. It is usually described as a mountainous kingdom, due to the rugged mountains that is often see there. It also possesses many deserts. The country's flag looks like this: 
Image result for morocco The red background symbolizes bravery and strength, and the red also reflects off Morocco's history. The pentagram that forms the shape of a star, represents the star of Solomon, (see http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/13843-solomon-seal-of, for information on the Solomon Star) and the green also symbolizes religion.
Morocco's capital is Rabat, but there are many other big cities, such as: Casa Blanca, Marrakesh, Tanger, SalĂ©, and so on... The currency used there is the Moroccan Dirham, (1 euro=0.094 Moroccan Dirham,)  that looks like this:

    
Morocco's official languages are Arabic and Berber, though they also speak french. The current king is know as Mohammed VI of Morocco.

Food:
Moroccan's meals are usually served with lot's of bread, and Moroccan couscous. These two kinds of food are essential to an average Moroccan. But here is a list of traditional dishes that can be served during a meal:

-Pastilla: It is simply meat pie, that is normally stuffed with fledgling pigeon, or chicken.

-Tajine: It is a historical dish, usually cooked in North Africa. It could be presented as an omelette or a stew.

-Harira: It is a soup that is popularly know and cooked in the region of Maghreb. Moroccans normally eat as a starter, but is could be eaten also as a light snack.
 

Traditional Festivities/Celebrations:

- Fatih Mouharam: It is the Islamic New Year, that is widely celebrated in Morocco, in March.
- Aid el Arch: It honors the coronation of their king, Mohammed VI of Morocco.
- South of Marrakesh: Traders from distant regions come and sell their works, and precious objects to others.
- Celebration of the Throne- The most popular celebration in Morocco. During the celebration, songs and dances are played, and there is also lot's food and fun.
